Foundation and Concealer
DM: Because Christel is of mixed heritage;her foundation is also mixed! I use a combination of L’Oreal True Match and HiP (different shades each time depending on her tan). Her concealer has an orange under base, to hide imperfections (which, of course, she has none!).

Eyes
DM: I gave her a ‘daytime’ smokey eye, which I prefer unless were doing a High Glam shoot. I started with concealer on the lid, it’s the only way to get the true color of the eye shadows. Then applied a brownish burgundy shadow (NYX cosmetics) to the entire lid, and just under the lash line. The added a Teal shimmer shadow lightly on top of the Burgundy from the inner corners to the middle of her lid, blending it out before reaching the outer corner. Then I used a brown HIP liner pencil all along the lash line, getting a slight point at the outer corner, and lining the lower lashes with a sharp point, as close to the las line as possible. Then lightly smudge both upper and lower lines with a Q tip. Then line the upper lashes with black gel liner from HIP with a fine tip brush, as close to the lashes as possible.

Next, coat the lashes with Maybelline Volume Express mascara in blackest black, apply it thickest at the base of the lash, use two coats. Then use a soft brown eyeliner on the inner rim of the eyes, top and bottom. I don’t like fill in the eyebrows when it’s a daytime smokey eye, so just brush the brows up and set with a little hard wax (I like Chapstick) or hairspray on a toothbrush.

Lips
DM: Her lips are perfect, so I use a sheer Gel lip liner from Prestige in ‘Pomegranate’ (unfortunately, it’s been discontinued), it’s a sheer burgundy/iced tea color. Fill in the entire lip, then top with Kiehl’s lip balm.

Cheeks
DM: For blush, use Rimmel Bronzer in #021(sun kissed), on the forehead, and middle of cheeks, really blending out the edges. Then use True Match Blush in ‘baby blossom’ just on the balls of cheeks, to just under outer corner of the eyes, really blend!
